Background/Aim. During retreatment, filling material and debris may extrude trigger an inflammatory reaction of periapical tissues. Resilon? has not been investigated in terms solvent use influence on apical extrusion during retreatment. The aim the study was to evaluate amount apically extruded removal using ProTaper (PT), Twisted File (TF), Hedstrom instruments, with without solvent. Methods. In total, 72 extracted teeth single canals were used. Canals prepared PT Universal (F2) filled RealSeal sealer before being assigned randomly 6 groups (n = 12 each group). Retreatment Groups 1?3 done PT, TF, or 4?6, same instruments used chloroform. Apically collected a simulated environment assessed visually. Additionally, time required for retreatment recorded. Data analyzed statistically Mann-Whitney U test, significance level 0.05. Results. There no significant differences between (p > 0.05) regarding use.
